The paved trail starts at the Junction of Hwy 210 and 200, and runs to the Turah interchange. Paths under the interstate at both Rustic Road and the Turah interchange will be paved this week, and surveying for the non paved equine friendly trail on the north side of Rustic Road is done. That part of the trail should be completed later this year or early next year.
Mutt mitt stations and garbage cans along the Piltzville trail allow non dog lovers to enjoy the trail as well as dog lovers.
If you are into keeping track, the distance from Hwy 200 junction to Turah is 3.1 miles, and the distance around the entire loop and back to the junction is 6.2. Almost sounds like a local walking/running race could be in order!
What's Next for Trails in Bonner?
* Look forward to possible lighting along the Piltzville Safety Trail.
* Sleeves for electrical wiring were placed under the trail to include lighting. Funding possibilities are being researched.
* Native plants along a possibly weed free trail. Continuation of walking trails through West Riverside Funding possibilities are being researched.
SEE YOU OUT ON THE TRAIL!
